Time is Running Out

What a lot of people fail to realize, is that there are many variables with the climate crisis, that are impossible to calculate. The permafrost melting is one example. Billions of tons of greenhouse gases are being released every year from permafrost. Permafrost is also melting at an unprecedented rate, and there are areas where we are not able to get to, to measure how many greenhouse gases are being released.

Another example of an unpredictable variable is the rate at which phytoplankton is disappearing. Phytoplankton creates 60% of the oxygen that we breathe. Rapidly rising heat in oceans, is causing the phytoplankton to die at an alarming rate. This is posing a lot of problems for our planet.

The time to act is now. We all cannot rely solely on our governments to act. It is going to take a team effort of citizens, and also we all have to do our part. We all can drive electric cars, use solar power, and plant trees. When is the last time you have planted a tree?
